1. Who we are
ModelLens is operated by Zero One Research s.r.o. (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the Slovak Republic. We are the data controller for all personal data processed through this service. You can reach us at info@zerooneresearch.ai.
2. What data we collect

Important: uploaded model files may indirectly contain information derived from personal data if you trained them on such data. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and analyse those models.
No-training commitment: your uploaded model files, analysis results, and chat conversations are used solely to provide the ModelLens service to you. They are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning or AI system — including the Perun reasoning engine.
3. Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): account data, models, chat history — necessary to provide the service.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): usage counts, rate-limiting — necessary for security and fair use.
4. Data storage and sub-processors
Data is stored on infrastructure provided by Microsoft Azure (EU regions). Microsoft acts as a data processor under a standard Data Processing Agreement (DPA) included in the Microsoft Products and Services agreement. No other third-party processors receive your personal data.
Chat analysis is powered by Perun, our internal reasoning engine. Perun queries are processed within the same Azure infrastructure and are not sent to any external AI provider unless explicitly stated.
5. Data retention
- Account data, models, and chat history are retained for as long as your account is active.
- When you delete a model, all associated files and chat history are permanently deleted.
- When you delete your account, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Usage counters (chat/model counts) are reset monthly and are not retained beyond 13 months.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use one strictly necessary cookie (w2t_auth) to maintain your login session. This cookie does not track you across other websites and is deleted when you sign out.
We also store your authentication token in localStorage for API calls. No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies are used.
7. Your rights (GDPR Chapter III)
- Access (Art. 15): request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification (Art. 16): correct inaccurate data via your account settings.
- Erasure (Art. 17): delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings.
- Portability (Art. 20): request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Restriction / objection (Art. 18, 21): contact us to restrict or object to processing.
- Complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority (dataprotection.gov.sk).

8. Data security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+. All data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 via Microsoft Azure's built-in encryption. Model files and chat history are stored in access-controlled, user-isolated cloud storage. We apply the principle of data minimisation and restrict access to personal data to authorised personnel only.

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email (if provided) or by a notice in the application. Continued use of ModelLens after changes constitutes acceptance.
